The correct, original definition is that a Blue Moon is the third full Moon in an astronomical season with four full Moons. A normal year has four astronomical seasons – spring, summer, autumn, and winter – with three months and normally three full Moons each.
When one of the astronomical seasons has four full Moons, instead of the normal three, the third full Moon is called a Blue Moon.
So this year during Winter ( Southern Hemisphere ) , we are experiencing the additional full moon in July.
A full moon happens when the Sun , Earth and the moon are in alignment, when the suns light shines fully & directly on the moon.
Full moons bring us in touch with ourselves and all the natural elements around us.
When we are in tune with the natural energetic currents of nature, we can combine our own energy forces so that we have an extra surge, which helps to push us in the right direction.
All objects including stars, planets and satellite bodies along with their gross (tangible) attributes emanate subtle (intangible) frequencies. These physical attributes and subtle-frequencies affect us in varying degrees at a physical and subtle-level.
The frequencies emanating from the Moon affect the frequencies of the mental body, i.e. mind of human beings. By ‘mind’ I mean our feelings, emotions and desires. The mind consists of the conscious mind and the sub-conscious mind. Within the sub-conscious mind we have a number of impressions that are embedded that decide our basic nature and personality. We are however not aware of the thoughts or impressions in our sub-conscious mind. These impressions get collected over a number of lifetimes.
These impressions in our mind are the catalysts for all our thoughts and subsequent actions. Both the impressions and our thoughts have their own subtle-frequencies.
The moon frequencies have the capacity to make the thought frequencies from the impressions in our sub-conscious mind to surface to the conscious mind. Once in the conscious mind we become aware of them. Thus one will be influenced as per the predominant impressions in one’s mind.
The energies of this moon are only being magnified by Venus turning retrograde on the 25th, which is just one of seven planets slowing and turning retrograde the week prior to this lunar event.
The skies have collided to physically slow all of us down. We all get so caught up in our day to day lives, that we constantly push what needs to be done aside, delaying important decisions that need to be made.
This moon, we are being asked to stop, look around and to see the bigger picture.
